1. Rado Manufactured the world’s first Scratch-Resistant watch
The first scratch-resistant watch was iconic DiaStar 1, the world’s first scratch-resistant watch. 2. Rado manufactured world's Hardest watch
A number of manufacturers have created diamond-embedded watches, but Rado went on another level and created a watch entirely carved out of sapphire and diamonds. Like many high-end watches, these have an ultra-precise Swiss quartz movement. The hardness of the watch is 10,000 Vickers. For comparison, the only other substance with this measurement is diamond. This fact earned the manufacturers a Guinness world record.


3. Rado is best at innovation

The model name is Diaqueen. It is a combination of gold, ceramic and real diamonds to make a delightfully unique piece for a women’s watch. Very elegant, yet still scratch proof.

6. Water resistivity of Rado watches:
The available all Rado watches in the market are water resistant. They can tolerate the water pressure of 3 bars or can act as resistive up to 30 meters.

7. Rado didn’t start as a watch company

This organization was founded in 1917 in a village of Lengnau. What’s interesting here is that they weren’t actually a watch manufacturer; Rado (then known as Schlup& Co.) was founded as a watch movement-manufacturing factory. It was only in 1957 that they changed their name from Schlup & Co. to Rado Uhren AG and started manufacturing watches.
